Happy New Year! We hope you have started the year off on a high note and are ready to go because this month we are turning the world of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition upside down. From angry sheep to lazy monks, nothing is going as expected. We have some fun surprises in store with this event. So, get ready for another year of Age of Empires because it’s going to be fun!

Upside Down Event: New Rewards!
NOW through 23 de enero, complete the in-game tasks within the time limit to unlock exclusive rewards!
| Day ~ | 🎯 Sign in to Xbox Live. 🏆 Unlocks a profile icon of an Evil Sheep. 💾 *Required* to save any rewards unlocked during the event! |
Each of the following challenges must be unlocked in order and on separate days:
| Day 1 | 🔒 Capture 5 Relics. 🧱 Unlocks a graphical mod where European Monks are driving on a Relic cart instead of carrying Relics. |
| Day 2 | 🔒Defeat 50 Spearmen-line units with Knights, Cavalier, or Paladin. 🏆 Unlocks a profile icon of a Scout carrying his horse. |
| Day 3 | 🔒Defeat 10 units with Petards. 🧱 Unlocks a graphical mod where Petards got tired of carrying their barrels. |
| Day 4 | 🔒Build 3 Markets or Caravanserais in a single match. 🏆 Unlocks a profile icon of a villager is pulling a cart with his horse sitting in the back. |
| Day 5 | 🔒Defeat 30 Skirmishers with Cavalry Archers. 🧱 Unlocks a graphical mod where Cavalry archers are trained in the lost art of reverse parthian tactics! |
Event F.A.Q.
While challenges don’t have to be completed on consecutive days, only one challenge can be completed per day.
This means that you will need to play at least five different days to complete all of the challenges.
The Upside Down Event concludes 23 de enero.
All you need to do is log into your Xbox Live account before the end of the event to keep all of the profile icons and mods you unlock; it’s as easy as that!
No problem! All you need to do is click your Profile Icon on the main menu, select Event Mods (under Collection), and then check the unlocked event mod you want to enable!
You can update your profile icon in your profile:
- On the main menu, click the Profile Icon next to your name.
- You should now be in the Profile Icons tab under Collections.
- Select your favorite icon, then click the Select Icon button to lock in your choice.
- You’re done!
